The Strasburg Rail Road, America’s oldest short-line railroad with turn-of-the-century steam locomotives, offers visitors rides through beautiful Amish countryside to Paradise, PA and back. Regular train excursions, which are about 45-minute in length, are a great family experience. Regular train ticket prices range from $14 for adults and $8 for children (2-11) aboard beautifully restored Victorian style coach cars to $20 a ticket per adult or child (0-11) for Victorian 1st class parlor or lounge car seating. Dinner Trains featuring an Amish feast and Dining Cars featuring a “hobo lunch” are also available and great for kids. A variety of special event excursions are also offered.
