Hidden in the gem that is North Conway, New Hampshire, every family should make a stop to enjoy an old-fashioned railroading experience on vintage trains, departing from a 1874 Victorian station in the center of North Conway Village, NH. The Conway scenic railroad has trains that tour the valley five times a day. In addition, you can choose the Notch train option where you explore the most dramatic natural scenery in the East as you travel through spectacular Crawford Notch – past sheer bluffs, steep ravines, cascading brooks and streams, panoramic mountain vistas, across Frankenstein Trestle and Willey Brook Bridge – enroute to Crawford station. Each train features multiple classes of seating ranging from the dining car to coach and first class. In first class each person gets a comfortable seat facing the window (and it features a snack car) so its worth the extra money if you have a little train enthusiast. Unlike many trains we have been on, the dining car features a lot more than simple sandwiches so be sure to check out the menu to make sure your little ones will find something they could enjoy!
